Doodcom Player privacy policy
Last updated 19 October 2026
Doodcom Player is a video player for IPTV playlists that you already have from your own provider. It doesn't come with any channels, films or series, and we don't sell or host any. This page explains what the app keeps, what it sends, and how to delete it.
The short version
- No adverts, no tracking and no analytics.
- We never sell or share your information with anyone for marketing.
- An account is optional. Without one, everything stays on your device.
- You can delete your account at any time from inside the app.
What stays on your device
Your playlists and their logins, favourites, watch history, settings, profiles, parental-control PIN and recordings are kept on the device you use the app on.
Your provider
When you add a playlist, the app connects straight to the address you typed to fetch channels, the TV guide and videos. That provider is not us: what they keep is covered by their own terms.
A Doodcom account (optional)
If you make an account to sync between your devices, we keep:
- your email address and a scrambled (hashed) form of your password;
- the settings you choose to sync: favourites, watch progress, appearance and similar choices;
- your playlists and their logins, unless you turn off "Share playlists and their logins". Only your account can read them.
This is stored by our hosting provider, Supabase, and always sent over an encrypted connection.
Free trial and devices
To run the free trial fairly, the app sends a one-way scrambled code made from your device's ID. It can't be turned back into the ID and isn't linked to your name or email.
Purchases
Purchases are handled by Google Play. We never see your card or payment details; Google tells the app only which plan you have.
Problem reports
If you choose "Send a problem report", the app sends your message, the app version, your device model and a log of recent app activity, so we can find the fault. Logins and passwords are left out. Nothing is sent unless you press the button, and reports are deleted automatically.
Other services the app uses
- The Movie Database (TMDB): film and series titles are looked up to show posters, plots and trailers.
- ESPN: football scores and fixtures for the Sports section and goal alerts.
These requests don't include your account, email or playlists.
Phone remote
The phone remote works only on your home network, between your phone and the device. Nothing goes through our servers.
Children
The app isn't made for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Deleting your account and data
In the app, go to Settings → Sync → Delete account (or see doodcom.com/delete-account). Your account and everything synced to it are deleted straight away, for good.
If you no longer have the app, email support@doodcom.com from the email address on your account and we'll delete it within 30 days.
To remove what's on a device, uninstall the app or clear its data.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law you can ask for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@doodcom.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
